New To The Shop: Sweet Little Fox Paper Party Goods

We have always loved woodland animals and how sweet parties revolving around them are! We have a special spot in our hearts for foxes though, they are just so cute and perfect for a boy's or girl's party! We actually created this illustration a few months ago and are finally getting around to sharing it with you! We hope you like this sweet little guy, complete with party hat, a big balloon and of course a cupcake! We are looking forward to sharing a DIY and party idea to go with this collection later this week! DIY glittered sticker treat boxes

So the other day at Hobby Lobby getting paper we randomly saw these stickers called, 'DIYthickers'. Taking a closer look we realized they were double sided stickers that you can customize with your own glitter. What!?! Is it wrong that we are in our mid 30's and felt like kids in a candy store..I mean stickers you can glitter yourself!?! Well, of course the first thing that came to our minds was DIY! Although, these are pretty self explanatory, we had to do something party related with these! We thought personalized treat boxes would be perfect! How adorable would it be to let the kiddos spell their name, dust with glitter, fill with treats and take home!?! If you were doing this for a really little kids party, you of course, could do them yourself and have them displayed. And, yes, we are totally aware that you could just go get glittery stickers and put them on the box, but this is just so much more fun, don't you think!?!

Put the stickers wherever you desire, take the top tabs off and glitter away! 

Sure would be cute to pair these treat boxes with our 'Sweet Shoppe' or our new fill-in-the-blank 'Sweet Shoppe' paper party collection! 

We ♥ Maria Carluccio

Oh how we love when we unexpectedly come across an artist that makes us squeal with delight! Maria Carluccio, an illustrator and designer, makes us do just that! Maria's work is just so whimsical and charming we just had to share it with you! Although, you have probably already seen it, as her client list includes vendors such as Pottery Barn Kids, Target, Land of Nod, Papyrus and Crate and Barrel just to name a few!  It's no surprise that we are totally attracted to anything that features sweets and Maria's collection of sweet illustrations and designs are sure to have you craving sugar! We were especially drawn to her "Let's Count Sweets" book! It is so adorable and would make the 'sweetest' no pun intended baby or birthday gift! Pretty Paper Floral Lanterns

As you may know we are huge fans of Kelly over at Studio DIY! {Check out our super fun interview with her here} We had the opportunity to guest post for her at Christmas time and were so excited to have had another chance a few weeks ago. With summer in full bloom outdoor entertaining is a must! Who does not love dining and parting al fresco when its warm and beautiful! But, just like partying indoors you need to party in style outdoors too! We love paper lanterns they are so versatile and come in so many different colors and sizes! Although, they are already so festive and fun, we thought why not add some 'pretty' to them too! And, yes paper flowers can make anything prettier...right!?! So we created a DIY on making mini paper lanterns adorned with simple tissue paper flowers. They can be hung from tree branches so they are all different heights, which gives a lot of dimension and adds a lot of color! You could also put them over a string of lights and create a beautiful garland {with lit lanterns} this would make a great addition to any night time party! It would also be beautiful to use all different sized lanterns if you were looking to do these on a grander scheme...pretty outdoor wedding maybe? Check out our full DIY here! Icing on the Cake

Well, another week has come to end our friends! We hope you had a good one, but here's to an even better weekend! It's been a while, but here is some 'Icing on the Cake'!

The Urban Farmgirl Shop

We have been following Urban Farmgirl for quite some time now...do you follow her too!?! We were so excited when we found out that she was opening a shop just a couple hours from our house! We knew that a field trip was a must and we finally got around to taking it last weekend! The shop is only open twice a month so were so lucky that we both had an open weekend. The shop was so cute and had such a cottage feel, right up our alley! It was filled with tons of little treasures and so many unique gifts. Its the kind of stuff we day dream about, I mean who doesn't need a magnetic bunting chalkboard....love! The Urban Farmgirl has created such a charming environment with so many sweet little touches. We loved the colorful clutches and bags, paper straws and chalkboard signs! One of our favorite things in the shop was this adorable print that read 'I'm fairly certain that given a cape and a nice tiara I could save the world'...too cute!

We definitely recommend if you ever find yourself in the Rockford, Illinois area that you stop in, but if you don't we are pretty sure that she will ship anything directly to you!
